Components Mankenberg Order Code
An example for the order code is shown on DM 652.
DM 652 - DN15 - flange EN1092-1/11 B1 - PN 40 - 0.8 - 2.5 - KVS 5 - 1.4404 - FEPM+EPDM+PTFE - no options
The code can be individually combined for any valve.
PRODUCT NAME
Description of the product type
CONNECTION SIZE DN
The connection size (nominal diameter (DN, French: diamètre nominal)) denotes the internal diameter of a pipe / hose pipe or the size / connection dimension of a valve or gate valve. The indication of the nominal diameter together with the nominal pressure rating and the material class specify all the dimensions of a pipeline, for ex. flange dimensions.
CONNECTION TYPE / FORM
This code has 4 characters and consists of two components.
The first letter stands for the connection type (F = flange, G = screw connection, A = welding end, K = aseptic connections). The following 3 characters are a sequential code. Additional is the nominal pressure of the connections stated.
Example: FA04 stands for flange EN 1092-1/11 B1 / PN 40
NOMINAL PRESSURE PN
The nominal pressure is the design pressure of the plant and/or component.
PRESSURE RANGE
The pressure range indicates the range within which a valve can be used. Thus the valve function is ensured within the indicated range.
Example: The indication pressure range 0 - 6 bar means the valve can be used for this system pressure range and will function.
Kvs VALUE
The required Kv value is calculated on basis of the given operating conditions of an application and is augmented by 30 % in order to ensure that the selected valve always operates within its optimal performance range. The resulting Kvs value should be smaller than the Kv value of the used valve.
Information on the calculation of the KV value can be found here
BODY MATERIAL
This indication denotes the medium-wetted body material. It does not specify the general internal parts. The inner parts have the same or a higher grade. Select the material in accordance with the requirements of the medium.
An overview of the body materials can be found here ...
ELASTOMERES
This is a code similar to item 3. The first letter specifies the cone seal and the second one the control mechanism, either diaphragm or piston or bellow. Example: GT stands for cone seal FEPM and control mechanism EPDM + PTFE.
Select the elastomers in accordance with the operating temperature and the requirements of the medium. Gases under high pressure, for example, may diffuse into the elastomers and cause damage during relief.
An overview of the elastomers can be found here ...
OPTIONS
These are the individual options that can be assigned to the corresponding valve and selected.
